Fraser Surrey Seafarers’ Centre Update
On Tuesday September 18, the Directors
of the Fraser River Harbour
Commission approved a twenty year
land lease for the prospective location
(Gunderson Road – near the gate to the
Port) of the new Fraser Surrey Seafarers’
Centre. Within the next few weeks the
Port will clear this land and raise the elevation
to approximately 3.5 feet above
flood level.
What the above news means is that
LHM has restarted its campaign for a
new seafarers’ centre! At this time, we
have approximately $130,000 raised for
this project
but will
need approximately
$200,000 of
additiona l
funds to
complete
it. Some
of LHM’s
supporters
have already
promised to
contribute
towards the
new centre when the project is started or
when they have the funds available.
We know that the Lord is able!
